Purpose of the Board of Trustees
The general administration and responsibility for the proper operation of the System is vested in the Board of Trustees. The Board consists of eight members: State Treasurer, Governor's delegate, Commissioner of Personnel, Commissioner of Finance and Management, elected representative of the Vermont Retired State Employee's Association (VRSEA) and three members selected by the Vermont State Employee's Association (VSEA) to represent the active employees. The Chair is elected by the Board and acts as executive officer of the Board.
